Nirupoma is a passionate cultural activist in the Bengali community. A Bangladeshi-American, currently residing in the United States, she loves working to promote and preserve Bengali heritage both at home and abroad. She also served as the Chief Executive of Muktadhara Bangladesh, where she worked to promote literature, encourage cultural exchange, and support community development. She is currently the Director of Muktadhara NYC, a publisher and seller that plays an important role in promoting Bengali literature. She also serves as an executive member of the Times Square Bangla New Year’s Celebration Committee and is actively involved in the NYC Bangla Book Fair. Throughout her journey, Nirupoma has focused on building bridges between generations, especially engaging with the youth to keep cultural traditions alive. Her energy, passion, and active involvement have made her a well-respected and influential member of both the Bangladeshi and Bengali-American communities.
